You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers (I think I may have heard that line a few times somewhere…).
We get it. Everything can be very confusing anymore and there’s never such thing as a one size fits all. I created this page to answer a few of the very popular questions I’ve been getting recently and I hope it answers some of your questions. If not, please feel free to let me know and I’ll be sure to get back to you.
The simple answer to that one is NO. No you do not get all the digital files from your session included as part of your session fee. Instead, your session fee is used to cover the time we spend during our session itself and my editing time to create your finalized gallery.
Details coming soon…
Absolutely! The session fee covers the first 5 family members. I love capturing extended family in your portraits!
We love that you’re anxious to see your finished images. Due to other commitments I have, and the time it takes to really devote my attention to your images for the best looking pictures, my turn around time is anywhere from 2-4 weeks. I try to keep that to a minimum, but certain times a year may take longer. We can discuss current turn around at your session. Don’t worry, if you follow us on facebook and send us a message from time to time, or we’ve talked in the past, typically I spill some spoilers along the way 😉
During the late Spring, Summer, and early Fall, I tend to suggest other times of the day for our sessions. The middle of the day tends to give off very harsh light with less than flattering bright white hues that need lots of digital retouching in order to make you look your best. The best time of the day for your sessions are bright and early during the sunrise, or during the evening ours for sunset. Of course, this time of the day is also the most sought after, so please book your session as early as possible. There are times that scheduling your session for the middle of the day is perfectly fine – for example water sessions. If you have something like that in mind, please feel free to reach out and I’ll be more than happy to get you booked.
Sessions would very easily run 1 to 2 hours long and I would come home with hundreds of images that would need to be edited. Those edits would take another 6-12 hours (sometimes even longer) and I would often times get so backed up, people would be waiting 2-3 months for images. While clients were waiting, they would be posting the less than ideal shots off of the camera on social media. Those images – although perfectly fine to some – are a poor representation of the final quality you have come to see on our social media pages and we want to make sure that our image is protected. Now, we only offer fully edited images that have been culled through (allowing you to spend less time searching through hundreds of images for the perfect one), fully digitally edited and enhanced for the perfect image quality you deserve, and therefore our rates were increased to allow us the opportunity to offer you better services and products.
